This web site was designed using FrontPage 2003. The Web master
maintains the site on a personal computer and synchronises changes to a
remote host computer. Each week the latest recordings are uploaded to
the Recordings page and the Calendar page elements are reviewed to keep
them up to date. In addition the News and Web Links section require
updating from time to time. A small team of web masters will be established to assist in this regular updating and ensure that there is no "single point of failure" in the event of accidents occurring to personnel or their equipment. After the move back to
Mappin Street it is hoped to provide some instruction for a small group
of people using the STN office PC. At the same time the web site will be
ported across to the successor to FrontPage2003 called Expression Web.
One advantage of this is the design will be more compliant with current
design standards and as such it should be possible to produce versions
better adapted for use by web surfers using visibility aids including
text to speech readers. |
